Google has disclosed the name of its next version of android mobile operating system which is Marshmallow. The name clearly suggests that the world renowned company has a penchant for sugary treats and so always names its OSes with related names.
The new android OS from Google will be 6.0 version of the dominant mobile computing system and will be a succeed to its Lollipop (5.0). Lollipop was a succeed to KitKat(4.4), which was a succeed to Jellybean(4.1) and Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0).
The operating system will be available for development and update on Google’s app store.
According to the latest update, from Android developers’ blog pots, Marshmallow also streamlines the permissions model for users to install and upgrade applications. Users running certain apps will not need to grant any permission when they install or upgrade, and the applications instead request permissions as the need arises.
