Microsoft released its latest Windows 10 Operating system on July 29 this year and already this OS is said to have been adopted by more than 75 million Windows Patrons. Though, this new OS is a package of all new innovative features, some things are still haunting its users.
Already reports are in that Windows 10 is displaying Blue screen of death while accessing some applications, largely due to incompatibility issues.
Hope, this article helps out those who are facing this issue on an occasional note.
First make a backup- Always ensure that you have a backup of all the files and folders available on the PC. The best way is to use a cloud backup service to save our critical data.
By recreating the problem- It can be incredibly helpful to make a note of what you were doing and which programs were running when you experienced the blue screen. If you’re able to recreate the process and end up with the crash, then there’s a good chance that one of the pieces of software/hardware you are using could be causing the problem. For instance, a Printer connected via USB which tries to print from word can make a BSOD. In this case, sometimes printing in PDF format can help making Adobe flash software the savior.
Check the code- Whenever a BSOD occurs, it is always better to check the error code displayed at the bottom of the message. Write it down, then search for it on Google to see what the code represents. Knowing what you’re looking for will certainly make things a little clearer when it comes to diagnosing the problem.
Any change could also trigger- Normally, when you change software or hardware on the PC, this issue occurs. And with Windows 10 the trouble looks terrible, as the user who obtained the OS as a free upgrade must first inform the Microsoft management of the change (hardware) and then wait for atleast an hour or so to get the genuine copy again. If the BSOD happens while you’re using a program, or loading one up, then it might be worth uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it again. You could also try using Google to see if there are others having issues with that version of the software, and what solutions they’ve discovered.
Updating Drives- Normally, it is often seen that dodgy graphic drives play havoc on a PC. So, if a user has updated his/her PC drives recently and is witnessing immense crash, then it might be worth going back to the previous version or atleast refer to help from the manufacturer’s forum. Always ensure that you have the latest update of drives on your PC.
Lack of updates- Lack of updates to your laptop OS can also cause Blue screen of death. So, if you did not opt for automated updates, then ensure that you regularly check for updates manually. Generally, Microsoft releases all kinds of software updates on Tuesday evening every week and so, it is better to check for updates on the following day.
Hardware issues- An improperly seated RAM in the slot can also cause BSOD. So, always check for this issue as soon as your encounter a BSOD.
