DNF Security offers Video Archiving in Cloud as service!

DNF Security, a popular American company offering mission critical video surveillance solution all over the world has started video archiving in cloud as a service. This company which is a business unit of Dynamic Network Factory offers ‘Cloud Connection’ service for archiving videos in any surveillance environment.

All DNF Security Falcon series of video storage and management appliances are being offered with an optional Cloud Connection support for video archives. Live recordings can continue to be stored directly on the Falcon appliance local storage, while archived footage can be written to and read from a secure StoneFly Cloud Drive hosted in Microsoft Azure or StoneFly Cloud Business Center.

StoneFly Cloud Drives utilizing remote block or file storage are created as a virtual drive on the Falcon that will be recognized as if it were a regular disk drive. Easily add mass amounts of storage for video archives on the Falcon in a matter of minutes, all without any investment in additional servers and storage appliances. Combining a StoneFly Cloud Drive subscription with a Falcon Video Storage Appliance will immediately save on capital and operating expenses, enabling organizations large and small to implement offsite video archival and backup inexpensively.

What’s more enthralling is that this service supports NVR servers running on Windows, Linux, Mac, Hyper V Host and VMware Host operating systems. All popular VMSes like OnSSI, Genetec, Milestone, Lenel, Avigilon, Aimetis, Exacqvision, Salient are compatible with Cloud Connection.

Users who would like to archive their mission critical video surveillance footage on low cost media will have the choice to store the video evidence on Microsoft Azure public cloud, VMware vCloud, StoneFly Cloud or their own Private cloud via DNF Security Cloud Connection. A graphical performance and utilization report along with volume level access control and dynamic volume management feature is also available with this service.

Moreover, SNMP traps and call home feature is also available on Cloud Connection platform. Thus, alert messages or call home service will be provided when a specific notification has to be passed onto to the user. For instance, if data has been replaced or has been added, an alert will be sent through SNMP protocol to nominated users.
