WhatsApp has made it official that it is going to integrate its user data with Facebook’s data platform. The company was brought by Facebook in 2014 for $19 billion and will start its investment payback in the following way.
First it will help users integrate their phone numbers with their facebook account, so that all those users connected to those accounts can know the contact details. But the feature activation will depend on user’s choice.
Second, WhatsApp will allow Facebook users to see the chats and messages delivered to them on Whatsapp. For example, if you are unable to check your latest Whatsapp status, then you can see it via your facebook account. You can change the status, reply to chats, post web links and do much more.
As soon as the user integrates his/her facebook account with WhatsApp, a new documents and folders section will be created in their Facebook account and from then on all the files received from WhatsApp contacts can be saved onto it.
More details will be revealed early next week!
