United States Department of Defense (DOD) is all set to upgrade all its 4 million computers to Windows 10 within this year. Though, the deadline seems too much challenging, the DOD is confident that it is going to achieve its goal by the said date.
According to media sources, this is the fast timeline set for an organization to upgrade to a new Microsoft operating system in United States. The details of the migration are still under wraps, but sources say that DOD spends around $44 billion every year on IT and cyber security and the migration is going slice a share of nearly $14 billion from the annual budget this year.
It has to be notified over here that Microsoft has set a goal of loading its new Windows 10 operating system on 1 billion devices by 2018.
With over 4 million devices from Department of Defense being upgraded with Windows 10, the Redmond giant may easily reach its target within no time.
