Microsoft has released the latest update on its Windows 10 free upgrade offer. The software giant with its latest announcement has clarified specifically that it won’t extend the free Windows 10 OS upgrade offer to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 OS running machines.
Microsoft has made it clear that after July 29th, 2016 all those PCs which are willing to move to Win 10 OS platform from Win 7 & 8 OS will have to pay $119. Hence, the Redmond giant is not willing to give its old OS users some more time to decide on moving to the new platform.
Today, Microsoft has also announced that its new OS is running on more than 300 million Windows 10 machines. From this month, the company has also decided to start an awareness campaign of “Time is running out” in which users will be informed that the free upgrade offer will end soon.
Microsoft is in plans to load its Windows 10 OS onto 1 billion devices in next two years. For this reason, the company is trying all sorts of marketing techniques to encourage users to make a move to the new OS.
So, all those who are using computing devices such as fanless PCs running on Widows 7 and Windows 8 operating system, you better wake up before it’s too late.
