Veeam offers new availability suite to support integration with Windows Server 2016 and Hyper V 2016

Veeam which is now the worlds leading backup software offering company has announced that it’s new Availability Suite 9.5 will integrate with upcoming Windows Server 2016 and Hyper V 2016 technologies of Microsoft. The company in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation will deliver greater security and offer easy integration between Microsoft’s releases of Windows Server 2016 and Hyper V 2016 and enterprise applications.

Veeam’s Availability Suite 9.5 will have 100 new features added and enhanced and that includes integration of Windows Server 2016 and Hyper V 2016 technologies which will be available by 3Q of 2016.

Veeam Availability Suite 9.5 will include

  • Windows Server 2016 support for installing firms backup and replication components as well as support for guest OS of protected VMs, including network free communication with a guest via PowerShell Direct.
  • The new backup and disaster recovery software will also include integration with Resilient Change Tracking (RCT) for backups and restores, and Hyper V hosts installed on Nano Server and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).
  • The new backup software will support most current versions of Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, and SQL: server for application aware processing and application item level recoveries through company’s Explorers for fast RTOs of less than 15 minutes.

Veeam Availability Suite 9.5 will be offered to customers later this year- just after the release of Windows Server 2016.

Note- Veeam has very recently partnered with StoneFly and Microsoft Azure to offer unlimited cloud backup storage to its patrons.
