BCDVideo announces the release of 180TB IP Video Storage

BCDVideo, an Illinois based IP security and network solution provider has come up with the release of 180TB BCD4540V IP Video Storage server with the code name “Big Bertha”. This 5 mount rack mount chassis enabled “ Big Birtha” is available with standard features such as 6G SAS driven IP Video Storage and solid state drives, available on customers choice.

The operating system, video management system, fault redundant architecture and system scalability are also available on this platform and thus make it an ideal video storage server for mission critical applications.

“Having a 60 drive bays density will allow us to set a new barometer for combined server and storage density,” said Dan Molnar, Solutions architect at BCDVideo. With the utilization of RAID 50 or 60, usually seen in supporting larger volume sizes, we are able to surpass the 16-disk drive limitation seen in Raid 5 and Raid 6.

BCD4540V Big Bertha of BCDVideo has already been beta tested in environments where long retention times of video storage are required. So, for those who may need a storage capacity reaching 180TB of raw storage, BCDVideo presents its Big Bertha as an ideal solution. Tom Larson, BCDVideo director has announced that this IP video storage platform will be ideal to be used in casinos, citywide surveillance and government accounts.

BCDVideo will be releasing its 240TB model in May 2013 and in order to know about the pricing and availability of its present BCD4540V Big Bertha BCDVideo please logon to www dot bcdvideo.com/big bertha
