Toshiba, a Japanese multi-national electronics maker is all set to offer 6TB storage capacity hard drives for home users. The company is planning to come up with 6TB external and internal hard drives which will be available from May 2015.
For those, who are unsatisfied with their 1TB drive capacity and are reluctant to go for cloud storage, this new product offering from Toshiba will prove as a boon to them. Thus, instead of stacking 6-in-number 1TB hard drives into your desktop or laptop (you can use an external hard drive), you can use a single device for your storage needs.
Toshiba has announced both internal and external hard drives and is offering sample drives to PC manufactures like Dell, Acer and Lenovo. The external model will fall under Toshiba’s Canvio Desk lineup while the internal one will be of the internal serial ATA 3.0 variety.
Both hard drives are expected to be released in May 2015, ( as said in earlier paragraphs) where interestingly enough they will both be priced at $369 each which is actually not too bad in terms of pricing.
